DANAI TSELENTI

Danai Tselenti obtained a B.A. and a Master’s degree from the Faculty of Political Science and Public Administration of the University of Athens. Since December 2015, she holds a Ph.D. in Sociology also from the University of Athens. Her current research focuses on new media and particularly contemporary offline and online reading communities (Bookstagram, Instapoetry, online book reviewing platforms), wherein she uses a broad range of qualitative methods in order to get a deeper understanding of contemporary online audiences. Currently she is a postdoctoral researcher at the University of Porto and a research member at the National Technical University of Athens. Her research interests lie in the areas of new media studies, reading studies, sociology of reception, literary theories, cognitive theories of reading and educational theory.
