DOCTORAL PROGRAMME IN HUMAN SEXUALITY

The DPHS – Doctoral Programme in Human Sexuality aims to promote advanced knowledge and the development of research in a relevant area, central to the well-being and biopsychosocial health.

It’s one of the first PhD programmes of this kind in the European space and one of the few internationally.

The creation of this doctoral programme aims to fulfil the needs resulting from the scarcity of professional training in this area.

The DPHS is a partnership with the Faculty of Medicine and the Abel Salazar Institute of Biomedical Sciences, both from the University of Porto.

Gathers specialized researchers and faculty in the area of sexuality coming from different research centres in the U. Porto (CPUP, CIIE, EPIUnit, UMIB).

Promotes high quality advanced training while establishing international strategic partnerships, with the final goal of establishing an international research centre in the area of sexuality at the University of Porto and in Portugal.
