Raquel Pereira is a certified Clinical Psychologist and Sexual Therapist. She is Master in Clinical and Health Psychologist by the Faculty of Psychology and Educational Sciences, University of Porto. In 2020, she finished her PhD at this University, in the field of sexuality and physical disability. Since 2014, she is a member of the Research Group in Human Sexuality and cooperates in several research projects in the field of Clinical Sexology, and she is currently working on “Anathema – Technology for ageless sexual health”, a partnership with Fraunhofer Portugal. She is author and co-author of several scientific publications, and she has experience reviewing for Journal of Sexual Medicine, the Clinical and Experimental Obstetrics & Gynecology and the International Journal of Sexual Health. She is a Reviewer Board Member of the Frontiers in Psychology. She is a member of the Sexual Health Consultation of the Social Services of the University of Porto, and she conducts private practice. She is also a certified instructor and collaborates with several lectures and events in the field of sexuality and functional diversity. She is a Full Member of the Portuguese Board of Psychologists and a member of the Portuguese Society of Clinical Sexology.
